Translation assistance

Interpreter and translation services
Texas Children’s Health Plan provides translators for members who do not speak English. We have staff who speak your language, or we can access an over-the-phone translator in your language. With the help of on-line interpreters, Texas Children’s Health Plan’s staff speaks 140 languages.

We can provide face-to-face sign language translation for doctor visits. Please let us know if you need these services at least 48 hours before your child’s appointment. Call Member Services at
1-866-959-6555. We will be glad to assist you.

Telephone device for the deaf (TDD) services
Texas Children’s Health Plan uses Relay Texas TDD services for members who have difficulties hearing or speaking. For TYY, call 1-800-RELAY-TX
(1-800-735-2989).

Assistance for the visually impaired
If you have a visual impairment, Texas Children’s Health Plan will provide health plan materials in large print or on audiotapes. Call Member Services to discuss your needs.
