Electronic claims submission
Historically, Texas Children’s Health Plan adjudicates
electronic claims in an average of seven (7) days. Paper claims are
adjudicated in an average of fourteen (14) days. TCHP encourages its
providers to participate in its electronic claims submission program
to ensure that claims are adjudicated within the shortest time
possible.
We are able to accept
electronic claims for all products—STAR
and CHIP. Claims can be submitted electronically through your
choice of three (3) clearinghouses: WebMD, THIN, and Legacy. Payor
identification numbers for each of the clearinghouses are as
follows:
