CHIP Overview

Finding health care for your family might seem hard. Texas Children’s Health Plan makes it easy. We care about your family’s health. Our large network of doctors, hospitals, and specialists give quality care close to home.

Texas Children’s Health Plan is a pediatric health maintenance organization (HMO). It was the first HMO just for children. It is owned by Texas Children’s Hospital, the largest children’s hospital in the nation. Texas Children’s Health Plan offers nearly 700 doctors in 20 counties, including Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Hardin, Harris, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Orange, Polk, San Jacinto, Tyler, Walker, Waller, and Wharton counties.
