CME: Advancing Mental and Behavioral Health in Primary Care: Strategies for Diagnosis, Treatment, and Coordination

Ensure that providers are able to manage and improve outcomes related to mental and behavioral health.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Texas Children’s® Health Plan invites you to participate in our upcoming CME: Advancing Mental and Behavioral Health in Primary Care: Strategies for Diagnosis, Treatment, and Coordination. During this course, providers will develop evidence-based strategies and plans to help provide effective care coordination and behavioral health integration models as seen in primary care.

This is a free, live course for contracted providers of Texas Children’s® Health Plan provided by Texas Children’s Hospital®.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop evidence-based strategies and plans to effectively diagnose, treat, and manage mental and behavioral health conditions seen in primary care
  • Prepare culturally competent and equitable approach to patient counseling and behavior modification strategies to reduce risk of complications and improve outcomes related to mental and behavioral health
  • Establish pathways to provide effective care coordination and behavioral health integration models
  • Identify and mitigate barriers related to post-hospitalization follow up after acute mental and behavioral health events
