Texas Children’s Health Plan Celebrates Cultural Awareness Week

Date: October 9, 2025

Attention: All Providers

Call to action: We are excited to announce that Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) will celebrate Cultural Awareness week November 17-21 2025!

At TCHP, we foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion by equipping our provider network with the resources needed to serve our culturally diverse member population. We invite you to learn more about our commitment to Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) by reviewing our Cultural Competency Plan.

How this impacts providers: To support the CLAS standards outlined in our Cultural Competency Plan, TCHP encourages providers to complete the Health and Human Services’ online course, A Physician’s Practical Guide to Culturally Competent Care available here.

The course helps providers with the knowledge, skills, and awareness to best serve all patients, regardless of cultural or linguistic background.

Next step for providers: Once you’ve completed the training, we encourage you to implement the procedures and resources acquired during the course into the daily operations of your practice.

If you have any questions, please email Provider Relations at providerrelations@texaschildrens.org
