Preparing for the Upcoming Fiscal Year 2026 Fee-for-Service Claims Billing Closeout

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to remind providers to prepare for the August 31, 2026 end of fiscal year closeout. It is important for providers to promptly submit claims to be paid by the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) for any unbilled services.

HHSC has published additional details regarding cutoff dates for FY 2026 in the HHSC information letter IL 2026 13 Preparing for FY FFS Closeout

Next step for providers: Providers should share this information with their staff. HHSC will publish additional details regarding cutoff dates for fiscal year 2026 in an upcoming HHSC information letter when they are available
