If you haven’t already, you will get a Member ID card in the mail. This card is proof of your health coverage and you need to bring it to each of your prenatal and postpartum visits.
If your Member ID card hasn’t yet hit your mailbox, you can either:
Take a moment and make sure your PCP is listed correctly. When you signed up for your benefits, you may have picked a PCP. (If you did not, we picked one for you.) If you want to update or change your PCP, please call Member Services at the phone number found on the back of your Member ID card.
Now that you are covered, it’s time to schedule your first prenatal visit which is covered under your plan. We recommend you set up your first appointment with your PCP as soon as possible to get started on your care.
You will either have a STAR or CHIP Perinatal (CHIP-P) plan. Each plan is different and they offer different benefits:
