Important: Change Healthcare Network Interruption

Date: February 22, 2024
Attention: All Providers

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to inform providers of some recent information we have received from our clearinghouse, Change Healthcare.

Change Healthcare is experiencing a network interruption related to a cyber-security issue and are working to address the matter. Once they became aware of the infiltration, they took immediate action to disconnect their systems to prevent further impact. At this time, they do not have an estimation of when the system will be back up.

How this impacts providers: As explained above, Change Healthcare is currently offline. Providers will not be able to submit electronic claims or check eligibility. In some situations, TCHP is unable to process payments until this situation is resolved.

Next steps for providers:  TCHP understands the impact of the situation and is committed to supporting and partnering with you. TCHP is working diligently to assess alternative options to minimize disruptions to you and your practices.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
