Now providers may fax their requests for authorizations to TCHP at any time, however, please be aware that the receipt date for non-urgent faxes received after our normal business hours will be considered the following business day.
For example:

How this impacts providers: Providers should wait a minimum of three business days prior to checking the portal for a decision on a recently submitted authorization request. Authorization information is viewable by the member’s PCP, the Requesting Provider, and the Servicing Provider only.
Next steps for providers: Providers should communicate this change with their staff responsible for authorizations.
