Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Online Learning Opportunity: Pediatric Brain Health Summit on November 5-6, 2020

Attention: Primary Care Providers, Neurologists, Early Childhood Specialists, and relevant providers Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to inform providers that the 2020 Pediatric Brain Health Summit is being held online November 5-6, 2020. The Summit is free of charge and open to the public. The Summit is part of the Texas Pediatric Brain Health Initiative, a multi-sector, multi-agency collaboration focused on the prenatal to 3-year-old developmental window. The purpose of the initiative is to use the current science on pediatric brain development to help inform and support programs that promote community resilience and optimal development in Texas’ children.   • Policies and practices that help support families and mitigate adversity
  • Why screen for social determinants of health, adverse childhood experiences, and postnatal depression in the pediatric setting
  • Creating connections between community organizations and medical practice
  • Big and little things that can be done in the pediatric practice to support families
Speakers include:
  • Jack P. Shonkoff, MD, Julius B. Richmond FAMRI Professor of Child Health and Development at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Harvard Graduate School of Education

The 2020 Summit is a collaboration between the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texas Department of State Health Services, the Episcopal Health Foundation, the St. David’s Foundation, The University of Texas System, and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.
