Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Annual Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Training Webinar

Attention: Current Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Users Effective Date: 10/29/2020 Call to action: The webinar is for program providers currently required to use electronic visit verification by state law. Attending the webinar helps complete annual EVV policy and EVV Portal training requirements. There will also be a live question and answer session. The training is on November 13, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. How this impacts providers: Effective August 1, 2020, the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Training Policy requires program providers, financial management service agencies (FMSA) and Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employers to complete all required EVV training:
  • Prior to using either an EVV vendor system or an EVV proprietary system and
  • Yearly thereafter.
The payers, HHSC or a managed care organization (MCO) may request proof of completed trainings. Do not submit proof of training completion to HHSC, an MCO or Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) unless requested. Proof of completed trainings must include the:
  • Name of the training
  • Name of the person completing the training
  • Date of the training
