Update to Renal Dialysis Revenue Codes Eligible for Reimbursement

Date: March 24, 2021 Attention: PCPs and Nephrologists Effective Date: March 23, 2021Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event. Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to make network providers aware of updates for some of the renal dialysis revenue codes. How this impacts providers: The revenue codes that are no longer reimbursable include the following: 250, 252, 254, 255, 257, 258, 259, 260, 264, 270, 271, 272, 360, 361, 370, 390, 410, 450, 510, 516, 710, 721, 761, 762, 769, 515 for dialysis claims. This is for both Renal Dialysis and Hospital providers. Next steps for providers: Providers should make their billing staff aware of these changes to reimbursable revenue codes.
