Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Temporary Extension to Submit Claim Appeals

Date: June 8, 2023

Attention: All Providers

Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to notify providers that the timely filing deadline for claim appeals has been waived for Dates of Service: August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023.

TCHP is conducting a provider reimbursement review to ensure accurate provider payments following the implementation of our new claims processing system, Epic Tapestry, on August 1, 2022.  Claims identified with erroneous payments will automatically be adjusted. However, providers may also submit or resubmit appeals for claims with dates of services August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023. 

This extension strictly applies for claim appeals for claims with dates of service: August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023. Submission of claim appeals for the above-mentioned dates of service will be considered for appeal through December 31, 2023.  Providers can submit their claims appeals through the standard process.

Note: all other applicable claims rules, appeal requirements and restrictions still apply.
