Availity Now Offered to Providers for Electronic Claims Submission
Date: March 26, 2024
Attention: All Providers
Effective Date: March 25, 2024
Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to announce that Availity is now available as a clearinghouse option for electronic claims submissions.
Getting Started with Availity:
If a provider already uses Availity as a clearinghouse, then claims will route to TCHP payer IDs as normal (payer ID information can be found in the TCHP Institutional Guide and TCHP Professional Guide). No additional action is required.
If a provider uses Change Healthcare as a clearinghouse, then you can enroll with Availity for claims routing.
If a provider uses a clearinghouse other than Change Healthcare, then you can have claims routed to Availity using the TCHP payer IDs.
If providers are not currently enrolled with Availity, they can register here. To learn more about Availity, please visit their FAQ document here. Additionally, providers can attend a live webinar to learn the process of registering an account below:
Can’t attend a live webinar? You can view a recording here.
If you prefer to not use Availity, then you can continue submitting electronic claims via the Texas Children’s Link provider portal. Click here to learn more about submitting claims via the provider portal.
Next step for providers: TCHP is working diligently to assess alternative options to minimize disruptions to you and your practice operations. We appreciate your patience and partnership. We will provide updates as they become available. For urgent concerns, please contact your Provider Relation Liaison or Account Lead.
