Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

SafeRide Health (SRH) is the new provider for all NEMT rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits.

Depending on your needs, rides may include wheelchair-lift-equipped vehicles, stretcher vans, minivans, or ambulatory vans. Please let SRH know what type of ride you need when scheduling.

SafeRide Health (SRH) es el nuevo proveedor de todos los servicios de transporte médico que no son de emergencia (NEMT, por sus siglas en inglés) hacia consultas médicas y farmacias.

Availity Now Offered to Providers for Electronic Claims Submission

Effective Date: March 25, 2024

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to announce that Availity is now available as a clearinghouse option for electronic claims submissions.

Getting Started with Availity:

  • If a provider already uses Availity as a clearinghouse, then claims will route to TCHP payer IDs as normal (payer ID information can be found in the TCHP Institutional Guide and TCHP Professional Guide). No additional action is required.
  • If a provider uses Change Healthcare as a clearinghouse, then you can enroll with Availity for claims routing.
  • If a provider uses a clearinghouse other than Change Healthcare, then you can have claims routed to Availity using the TCHP payer IDs.

If providers are not currently enrolled with Availity, they can register here. To learn more about Availity, please visit their FAQ document here. Additionally, providers can attend a live webinar to learn the process of registering an account below:
