EVV Service Bill Codes Table Version 9.6 (STAR Health Updates) Published

Date: November 2, 2021 Attention: Financial Management Service Agencies (FMSAs) Effective Date: November 1, 2021Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event. Call to action: The EVV Service Bill Codes Table provides current billing codes and details for EVV-relevant services in Long-Term Care, Acute Care and Managed Care programs. A discrepancy was identified in the EVV Service Bill Codes Table for certain STAR Health service billing combinations, which prevented the correct payment of the EVV services. HHSC updated the EVV Service Bill Codes Table to reflect the service billing combinations used according to STAR Health billing guidelines. How this impacts providers: HHSC will publish the EVV Service Bill Codes Table Version 9.6 to the EVV webpage by November 1. Key Details:
  • Excel version will be available.
  • PDF version will be available.
  • Revisions only impact STAR Health Personal Care Services
  • Added new service combinations for STAR Health PCS, CDS and PCS and BH Condition
  • Clarified Program for impacted PCS services as STAR Health or STAR Kids as applicable
