Clarification and TMPPM Update: CCP Therapists and Registered Nurses Must Enroll as Individuals

Date: July 1, 2025

Attention: Providers

Call to action: This communication is to offer clarification to a provider alert published earlier this year titled, Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) Reminders available here, https://www.texaschildrenshealthplan.org/news/provider-alert/provider-enrollment-and-management-system-pems-reminders. Here is a link to the TMHP bulletin, Reminder: Certain Provider Types Must Enroll as an Individual | TMHP

How this impacts providers: Physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and registered nurses in the Comprehensive Care Program (CCP) must enroll as individuals.

On July 1, 2025, the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual (TMPPM), “Section 1: Provider Enrollment and Responsibilities,” section 1.1.4, “Provider Enrollment Identification,” will be updated to add “CCP” to the following provider types:

  • Physical and occupational therapists
  • Registered nurses
  • Speech-language pathologists

Next step for Providers: Providers should share this communication with their staff and applicable providers and care givers in the CCP are advised to take action and enroll.

If you have any questions, please email Provider Relations at: providerrelations@texaschildrens.org
