Clarification and TMPPM Update: CCP Therapists and Registered Nurses Must Enroll as Individuals
Date: July 1, 2025
Attention: Providers
Call to action: This communication is to offer clarification to a provider alert published earlier this year titled, Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) Reminders available here, https://www.texaschildrenshealthplan.org/news/provider-alert/provider-enrollment-and-management-system-pems-reminders. Here is a link to the TMHP bulletin, Reminder: Certain Provider Types Must Enroll as an Individual | TMHP.
How this impacts providers: Physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and registered nurses in the Comprehensive Care Program (CCP) must enroll as individuals.
On July 1, 2025, the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual (TMPPM), “Section 1: Provider Enrollment and Responsibilities,” section 1.1.4, “Provider Enrollment Identification,” will be updated to add “CCP” to the following provider types:
- Physical and occupational therapists
- Registered nurses
- Speech-language pathologists
Next step for Providers: Providers should share this communication with their staff and applicable providers and care givers in the CCP are advised to take action and enroll.
