TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.Call to action: The March 2022 Biannual Specialty Drug List is now available from the Vendor Drug Program Website.
How this impacts providers: A drug must meet all four of the rule criteria to be considered for inclusion on the HHSC specialty drug list (SDL). The SDL includes drugs MCOs may exclusively provide through their specialty pharmacy network. Providers will need to use the updated Specialty Drug List to ensure that they have the most accurate information regarding Specialty Drugs.
Next steps for providers: Prescribers should share this update with their staff.
