Prescribing Provider Survey for the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program

Date: April 21, 2026

Attention: Prescribers

Survey due date: May 11, 2026

Call to action: The purpose of this communication is to inform prescribers of an important survey for the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) that is due May 11, 2026.

Background information: Health and Human Services Commission is conducting a prescribing provider survey to obtain information needed to respond to a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) annual Drug Utilization Review (DUR) survey question regarding the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).

How this impacts providers: All prescribing providers must complete this survey. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will collect and analyze the responses, which will then be reported to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
