Due Date Extended: Prescribing Provider Survey for the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program

Call to action: The purpose of this communication is to inform prescribers of an important survey for the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP). The deadline has been extended to June 10, 2026.

Background information: Health and Human Services Commission is conducting a prescribing provider survey to obtain information needed to respond to a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) annual Drug Utilization Review (DUR) survey question regarding the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).

How this impacts providers: All prescribing providers must complete this survey. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will collect and analyze the responses, which will then be reported to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
