July 2026 NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk Now Available for CAD Processing

Date: August 26, 2026

Attention: Providers

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to inform providers that the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has published the updated Texas National Drug Codes (NDC) to Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Crosswalk for clinician-administered drug (CAD) processing.

How this impacts providers: Prescribers can use the CAD Search or download the crosswalk to review this quarter's changes. Refer to the search instructions for more information on how to search the database. To download the crosswalk, click the link to the text or Excel file of the CAD index on the Vendor Drug Program Data Files web page.

The NDC-to-HCPCS Crosswalk identifies relationships between NDC and Medicaid-reimbursable HCPCS codes. HHSC publishes the crosswalk using quarterly updates to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rebate-eligible drug list and monthly updates to the First Databank pricing compendia.

Next step for Providers: Providers should share this communication with their staff, and billers should use the crosswalk to ensure that claims are coded accurately.

If you have any questions, please email Provider Relations at providerrelations@texaschildrens.org.
