Providers are encouraged to register to Administer COVID-19 Vaccine

Attention: Primary Care Providers Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event. Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) aligns with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) with urging physicians and medical facilities to enroll in the DSHS Immunization Program in order to receive doses of and administer the COVID-19 vaccine. To enroll, physicians can go to EnrollTexasIZ.dshs.texas.govOnly providers registered through this site can receive and administer the COVID-19 vaccine in Texas. Medical facilities must provide a list of providers who will be responsible for vaccinations. Each facility or location, including those that are part of a hospital system or clinic network, must register separately. How this impacts providers: Registering physicians will be required to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Program Provider Agreement. For details on the CDC’s COVID-19 vaccine provider requirements, go to https://dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/immunize/provider-information.aspxAfter registering, physicians will receive an email confirming their registration. Once approved, physicians will receive another email confirming their status as a COVID-19 vaccine provider. Next steps for providers: Providers should access EnrollTexasIZ.dshs.texas.gov and register to receive and administer the COVID-19 vaccine.
