Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Call to action: Texas Children’s health Plan (TCHP) is proud to present our Healthy Rewards Program/Value Added Services (VAS) program effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. These rewards and services are available in each line of business CHIP, STAR, and STAR Kids and Service Delivery Areas; Harris, Jefferson and North East (limitations may apply). Member favorites, such as Meals for Moms, Cribs/Playpens, Diabetes Management Reward and Well-Child Visit Rewards are returning, along with a few new benefits such as our prenatal and postpartum visit reward. Additionally, we are excited to announce our partnership with InJoy, where our pregnant members will be able to access online e-classes during and after their pregnancy, anytime and on any device that is connected to the internet. Detailed information including how to redeem the extra benefits is available here:  www.healthyrewardsprogram.orgHealthmine – Healthy Connections (VAS gift reward card fulfillment) TCHP has a new partnership with Healthmine, branded Healthy Connections for our members, for our VAS gift reward card fulfillment. Healthmine provides an online, interactive portal where members can actively participate in tracking their health actions and fulfill VAS gift cards. The VAS redemption will not be fully functional until approximately October 15, 2022, but members will still have a way to contact Healthmine to put in their requests starting September 1, 2022. Please see information on how members can request their reward and create their Healthmine account:
  • All VAS fulfillment information can be found on the TCHP Healthy Rewards site (healthyrewardsprogram.org)
  • For all Healthmine fulfilled VAS (Prenatal, Postpartum, Cervical Cancer, Diabetes Management, Well-Child Check and Young Adult Wellness Visit), direct members to the Healthmine customer service number 866-475-1619 (TTY711)
  • Healthmine customer service agents can help members create their Healthmine account (if they have not already done so) and intake the member request for their VAS
  • Once the portal is live, the member will be able to request their reward through the portal
  • Healthmine is already live for the Health Risk Assessment – so please encourage members to complete this survey once they are registered for Healthmine
