Transportation UpdateActualización de transporte
Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.
For other questions, please call Member Services at the number on the back of your member ID card.

EVV Personal Care Services Bill Codes Table Updates: STAR Kids and STAR Health
Date: November 1, 2022 Attention: STAR Kids Providers/Consumer Directed Services employers, and FMSA ProvidersEffective date: December 1, 2022Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.
Call to action: The purpose of this communication is to inform providers that the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has published a new version of the EVV Personal Care Services Bill Codes table to include the STAR Kids LTSS billing matrix updates effective December 1, 2022. The updates also impact STAR Health because the STAR Kids LTSS billing matrix is used for some STAR Health services.
How this impacts providers: The updated tables are in Excel and PDF formats on the HHSC EVV web page.
Next steps for providers: Providers should utilize the resources available to help avoid visit transaction rejections and EVV claim mismatches and denials.
