Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.
Call to action: Effective November 21, 2022, the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) added two new COVID-19 test kits are available as a reimbursable pharmacy benefit.
Genabio is now a covered COVID-19 “At-Home Test Kit” for Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Healthy Texas Women (HTW), Kidney Health Care (KHC), and Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN). The maximum quantity limit for Genabio COVID-19 test kits is four tests per member per calendar month.
