Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Date: January 10, 2023 Attention: All Providers Launch date: Friday, January 13, 2023 Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.   Call to action: At Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP), we are constantly looking for ways to improve our provider experience and on Friday, January 13, 2023 we will demonstrate this when we launch our new Providers webpage and public website. How this impacts providers: This new website will improve our providers’ experience by:
  • Simplifying website navigation with improved menus.
  • Streamlining copy so that information is clearly organized
  • The process for becoming a participating provider is now outlined for interested providers along with contact information for any questions throughout the process.
  • New Provider FAQ page with the most popular topics listed with links for easier navigation.
