Transportation UpdateActualización de transporte
Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Ordering, Referring, or Prescribing Provider Enrollment Verifications Available through the TMHP Contact Center

Call to action: The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) has implemented a simplified process for providers who need to complete ordering, referring, or prescribing (ORP) provider enrollment verifications through the TMHP Contact Center. This went live on February 2, 2025. Please note providers will be limited to ten practice location inquiries per call to the TMHP Contact Center for the provider enrollment (PE) queue.
How this impacts providers:
How to complete the ORP enrollment verification process
Calling the TMHP Contact Center at 800-925-9126 and selecting option 3 for the PE queue.
Callers should say, “I need to verify enrollment for an ORP,” when speaking to the Contact Center agent to indicate the type of enrollment assistance that is needed.
The following information must be provided to the Contact Center:
The National Provider Identifier (NPI) of the ORP provider
The name of the ORP provider
Next step for Providers: Providers should share this communication with their staff.
