Ordering, Referring, or Prescribing Provider Enrollment Verifications Available through the TMHP Contact Center

Date: February 19, 2025

Attention: Providers

Effective date: February 2, 2025

Call to action: The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) has implemented a simplified process for providers who need to complete ordering, referring, or prescribing (ORP) provider enrollment verifications through the TMHP Contact Center. This went live on February 2, 2025. Please note providers will be limited to ten practice location inquiries per call to the TMHP Contact Center for the provider enrollment (PE) queue.

How this impacts providers:

How to complete the ORP enrollment verification process

  1. Calling the TMHP Contact Center at 800-925-9126 and selecting option 3 for the PE queue.
  2. Callers should say, “I need to verify enrollment for an ORP,” when speaking to the Contact Center agent to indicate the type of enrollment assistance that is needed.
  3. The following information must be provided to the Contact Center:
  • The National Provider Identifier (NPI) of the ORP provider
  • The name of the ORP provider

Next step for Providers: Providers should share this communication with their staff.
