Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

SafeRide Health (SRH) is the new provider for all NEMT rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits.

Depending on your needs, rides may include wheelchair-lift-equipped vehicles, stretcher vans, minivans, or ambulatory vans. Please let SRH know what type of ride you need when scheduling.

SafeRide Health (SRH) es el nuevo proveedor de todos los servicios de transporte médico que no son de emergencia (NEMT, por sus siglas en inglés) hacia consultas médicas y farmacias.

EVV Policy Handbook Revisions

Attention: STAR Kids Providers/Consumer Directed Services employers, and FMSA Providers

Effective date: March 12, 2025

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to inform providers that Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) posted the revised Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Policy Handbook. The Handbook includes new and revised policies and is effective March 12, 2025. HHSC provided advance notice, so the entities below may prepare for the implementation of the new policies.

  • Program providers
  • Financial management services agencies (FMSAs)
  • Consumer Directed Services (CDS) Employers

TCHP is in the process of updating our systems and supporting materials to reflect these edits.
