HOUSTON, Texas – Texas Children's Health Plan has again earned Health Plan Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). NCQA is a leading group that reviews health care quality. It also gave Texas Children’s Health Plan a five-star rating.
The accreditation recognizes Texas Children’s Health Plan’s work to provide quality care, strong member support, and better health for children and pregnant women across Texas.
We have maintained this distinction since 2020.
NCQA awards this accreditation after an independent outside review. The review looks at quality improvement, population health management programs, member experience, provider networks, and steps to improve care. It also helps consumers find high-quality health plans.
By earning this accreditation again, Texas Children’s Health Plan shows its focus on these goals:
- Help members get preventive and primary care.
- Support healthy pregnancies and maternal health outcomes.
- Increase childhood vaccines and well-child visits.
- Plan care for members with complex health needs.
- Improve member satisfaction.
- Make it easier for members to get the care they need.
