Our Back-to-School events are open to the community, and may include:
Healthy Hub Stations: With immunizations, vision, dental, BMI, glucose, and blood pressure health screenings at some events*.
Baby Depot Area: Learn about Well-Child Checkups, pregnancy and postpartum health resources, and get diapers for babies present at the event.
School Supplies: Free backpacks and other supplies for children present at the event.
Application Assistance: Get help with renewing and/or applying for CHIP and Medicaid coverage.
Family Fun: Enjoy face painting, community resources, giveaways and more!

*Health screenings /diapers: All health screenings, giveaways, diapers and activities are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis and while supplies last. Event is weather permitting. Parent or guardian must accompany eligible children to receive any health screening or vaccines. Baby or pregnant women must be present to receive diapers.
*Back packs: Limited quantities on school supplies and backpacks. All children receiving a backpack must be present and provided while supplies last.
*Immunizations: Texas Children’s Mobile Unit is a Texas Vaccines for Children (VFC) provider. Non-member children 0 to 18 years of age are eligible to receive vaccines through our program if they have no insurance, have insurance that does not cover vaccines, or have Medicaid. Vaccine services will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and appointments are required by calling 832-824-6355. For questions about VFC eligibility, please call 832-372-9871. Please bring all immunization records. Eligible children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Vaccines are limited by supply, staffing and time.
