Attention: All Providers
Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) reminds Medicaid-enrolled providers to review their revalidation status in the Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) and take action before their assigned due date.
Providers may begin revalidation up to 180 days before their due date. Starting early provides time to complete required documentation and respond to any additional information requests.
Providers who do not complete revalidation on time may experience:
- Disenrollment from Texas Medicaid
- Nonpayment for services rendered to Medicaid members
- Requirement to re-enroll, with no retroactive payment for services provided while disenrolled
Claims may also be denied when revalidation is not completed by the required due date. Providers should check their PEMS status and take prompt action to help avoid interruptions in payment.
Take Action Now
- Log in to PEMS
- Confirm your revalidation due date
- Check your application status (not started, draft, or pending response)
- Start or continue your revalidation application
- Complete all required sections
- Upload requested documentation
- Respond promptly to any deficiency or follow-up requests
- Ensure your application reaches a “Closed-Enrolled” status by your due date
Already Started Your Application?
Don’t stop at draft or submission. Continue monitoring your application and respond promptly if additional information or documentation is requested. Your revalidation is not complete until your application reaches “Closed-Enrolled” status in PEMS.
