Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

SafeRide Health (SRH) is the new provider for all NEMT rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits.

Depending on your needs, rides may include wheelchair-lift-equipped vehicles, stretcher vans, minivans, or ambulatory vans. Please let SRH know what type of ride you need when scheduling.

SafeRide Health (SRH) es el nuevo proveedor de todos los servicios de transporte médico que no son de emergencia (NEMT, por sus siglas en inglés) hacia consultas médicas y farmacias.

October JW Modifier Eligible Drugs List Available

Call to action: The purpose of this communication is to notify you that Health and Human Services (HHSC) has uploaded the October 2024 list of drugs eligible for billing with the JW modifier. The list of JW modifier-eligible drugs is updated quarterly.

How this impacts providers: Prescribers should refer to the Outpatient Drug Services Handbook chapter of the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedure Manual for more information about policy and reimbursement requirements.

Next step for Providers: Prescribers should follow this guidance, share the communication with their staff, and reference the JW Modifier list for October 2024.
