Call to action: The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) have extended key revalidation and enrollment flexibilities to support providers.
Key Flexibilities
Deadline Extended: Revalidation due dates and enrollment period gap closure flexibilities have been extended to November 30, 2025.
Second Extension: As of July 8, providers that have already received a 180-calendar day revalidation due date extension are eligible for a second 180-calendar day extension if they do not complete revalidation by their revised due date. The second revalidation due date extension will be visible in Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) on the Provider Information page.
Extra Time: Providers due for revalidation between December 13, 2024 - November 30, 2025, will receive an additional 180 calendar days to complete revalidation in PEMS.
Retroactive Enrollment: Providers disenrolled for missing revalidation may be eligible for retroactive enrollment if they complete revalidation by November 30, 2025.
Important Notes
These flexibilities only apply to disenrollments due to missed revalidation. Disenrollments for other reasons (e.g., fraud, license expiration, voluntary withdrawal) follow standard procedures.
Providers must revalidate through TMHP’s PEMS to continue serving Medicaid patients.
