Transportation UpdateActualización de transporte
Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Updated Notice: Kate Farms Pediatric Standard 1.2 Vanilla Formula Recall Expanded
Date: September 2, 2022 Attention: All ProvidersProviders should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) received an urgent notice of the voluntary recall of Kate Farms Pediatric Standard 1.2 Vanilla formula which has been expanded to include additional Kate Farms products and several lots of Pediasure Harvest. These products are manufactured by Lyons Magnus and primarily obtained through a pharmacy or Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider for members and WIC clients with a medical request. Lyons is conducting this voluntary recall due to the potential for microbial contamination.

Next steps for providers: Please inform Members that they should check to see if their child’s formula is part of the recall.
Members can find instructions for determining if their formula is part of the recall on the Texas WIC website at https://texaswic.org/about-wic/special-wic-food-updates. The WIC office has sent text notifications to their clients who are prescribed this formula.
Members may use transportation services available as a value-added service or on a case-by-case basis to travel to WIC offices to make the necessary changes to their WIC documentation. For more information on this service, click here or go to https://www.texaschildrenshealthplan.org/transportation.
