Transportation UpdateActualización de transporte
Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to remind providers of the Healthy Texas Women (HTW) Program and the benefits available to their patients. The Healthy Texas Women program offers women's health and family planning services to eligible, low-income women as a transition from the Medicaid for Pregnant Women program coverage. The services help women plan their families, whether they want to achieve, postpone or prevent pregnancy. These services may also have a positive effect on future pregnancy planning and general health. Healthy Texas Women provides a wide variety of women’s health and core family planning services, including:
Pregnancy testing
Pelvic examinations
Sexually transmitted infection services
Breast and cervical cancer screenings
Clinical breast examination
Mammograms
Screening and treatment for cholesterol, diabetes and high blood pressure
HIV screening
Long-acting reversible contraceptives
Oral contraceptive pills
Permanent sterilization
Other contraceptive methods such as condoms, diaphragm, vaginal spermicide, and injections
