Update on Zelis as New Payment Vendor

Date: September 11, 2025

Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to give our provider network an update on the transition to our new payment vendor, Zelis. We are working hard to successfully onboard Zelis so that the conversion process for providers is a smooth one. TCHP anticipates having the onboarding information available to providers in the coming months. This will include detailed steps that you will need to take in order to begin receiving timely payments.

Previously published communication on this topic is available by clicking here.

As a reminder, this change will affect all providers regardless of your payment history with TCHP and includes both paper and electronic funds transfer payments. Please note, providers can continue receiving their TCHP payments in the existing format, but TCHP encourages providers to elect electronic payment to ensure payments are received as timely as possible. With the new vendor, TCHP will be able to increase claims payments from weekly to bi-weekly.

Next step for Providers: More information on how to prepare and register with Zelis will be available in advance of the start date. Please check here for updates; https://www.texaschildrenshealthplan.org/providers/provider-news/provider-alerts.
