New Texas Department of State Health Services COVID-19 Vaccine Resource

Date: April 2, 2021 Attention: All Providers Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event. Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan would like to inform network providers of a new COVID resource available, the “Texas Public Health Scheduler”, to help people sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine through participating public entities across Texas. The website also has a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section. How this impacts providers: Texas Public Health Scheduler site: https://getthevaccine.dshs.texas.gov/s/ The scheduler resource will not replace all COVID-19 vaccine registration sites or vaccine locator tools.  People should register for a vaccine using the sites and tools that work best for them. Next steps for providers: Providers are encouraged to share this information with their staff and TCHP Members.
