SafeRide Health (SRH) is the new provider for all NEMT rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits.
Depending on your needs, rides may include wheelchair-lift-equipped vehicles, stretcher vans, minivans, or ambulatory vans. Please let SRH know what type of ride you need when scheduling.

Texas Health Steps Quick Reference Guide Updated for March 2022
Date: April 7, 2022 Attention: Primary Care Providers Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated with the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.
TCHP will apply updates and reprocess impacted claims as soon as possible. However, please allow up to sixty (60) business days for reprocessing. Providers are not required to appeal claims unless denied for other reasons.
Providers should direct questions to their Provider Relations Liaison or send an email inquiry to the Provider Relations Department at providerrelations@texaschildrens.org.

How this impacts providers: The update is in the “Immunizations Administered” column on the Quick Reference Guide, pneumococcal vaccine procedure codes 90671 and 90677 were added.
