Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

Starting December 15, 2025, SafeRide Health will become the new provider for all member rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits. After this date, Texas Children’s Health Plan will no longer use MTM for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services.

Mental Health Follow-Up Reward

Description:

Getting a follow-up after a mental health hospitalization lowers the risk of going back to the hospital. Texas Children’s Health Plan wants to reward you for getting the extra help you need to get better.

Reward*:

$25 reward card when you complete a mental health follow-up visit within 7 days of discharge from a mental health hospital or facility.

How do I claim my extra benefit?

Once you have completed your follow-up visit, Texas Children’s Health Plan will confirm your eligibility and you will receive your reward card in the mail.

Who is eligible?

CHIP, STAR, and STAR Kids members 6 years and older who complete a mental health follow-up visit within 7 days of discharge from a mental health hospital or facility.

What service area is this benefit available in?

Harris, Jefferson, and Northeast service areas.

*This reward can be requested up to 30 days after the end of the eligible year (September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026).
